Performance Notes |
|
|
Ralph
performs his solo sets using acoustic guitars and once in a while an
electric guitar, and sometimes flute, harmonica, percussion. Most songs are well suited
for
guitar with vocal. Along with the usual P.A. system for amplifying
his guitar and voice, Ralph utilizes 2 foot pedals which enable him to
create the illusion of being accompanied by several additional guitars
and harmony vocals. These foot pedals add some very nice texturing which can bring a full spectrum of sounds
to the show.

Ralph sometimes uses a Digitech "Jam-Man" loop-station, foot-pedal to create back-up guitars to play solos during some
passages. This pedal becomes a very interesting asset to a
solo performance. Some complex sound textures can be
gotten during a solo performance which actually can not be duplicated by
an ensemble.

|

Ralph sometimes uses a Digitech "Vocalist Love 2" harmony foot
pedal. This pedal "watches" the guitar chords and creates
back up vocal harmonies to the main vocal being sung to create full and rich vocal
harmonies. Used in conjunction with the "Jam-Man", a rich
musical backdrop is created in real time and all controlled by Ralph
as he moves through his set. The effect
is enjoyed live. |

Ralph brings along his own sound gear. He utilizes what he
believes are the best components available. He uses a
Yamaha EMX88S, 800 watt P.A. head along with EV Force I
speakers. These can be quiet, as needed, but can also
handle an outside event with no problem. Using these
components, the music produced during your event is "creamy and
delicious" with all the beautiful subtleties you expect from a
top notch performance. |
